Challenges

As Zeraki Jewels expanded rapidly from a new-age startup to a brand delivering lakhs of orders worldwide, the limitations in their existing checkout and operational workflows began to surface. Key challenges included:

  • 1. Low Prepaid Adoption: A large portion of Zeraki’s audience preferred Cash on Delivery. This created delays in cash flow, higher operational costs and increased chances of cancellations or fake orders.
  • 2. Slow Checkout: Their Shopify checkout was not designed for a mobile-first audience, even though most shoppers arrived from mobile. This resulted in slow loading screens. In a trend-driven category where purchases are often impulsive, this directly impacted conversions.
  • 3. High RTOs and COD-Related Risks: With COD forming 90% of all orders, Zeraki experienced high Return-to-Origin rates. These issues increased logistics costs, reduced operational efficiency, and caused a dent in profitability.

  • Increasing AOV With EMI on UPI: EMI on UPI gave shoppers affordable ways to purchase more or choose higher-value items. With flexible payment methods built into the checkout, Zeraki saw healthier AOV while keeping the experience accessible.
  • Improving Order Quality With RTO Intelligence: To reduce RTO and COD risks, Zeraki used GoKwik’s RTO intelligence tools. Pincode blocking and KwikFlows filtered risky orders. Fraud alerts flagged suspicious activity, and COD intent prompts helped confirm genuine shoppers. This improved order authenticity and cut operational losses.

Impact & Results

  • Zeraki’s checkout conversion rate increased from 43.2% to 47.32% within months, delivering a 9.5% improvement.
  • Prepaid order share grew to 40%, an 18.6% improvement. This was driven by smarter payment nudges and the introduction of EMI on UPI, which encouraged more customers to choose prepaid over COD.
  • Users opting for EMI on UPI had a 40% increased AOV compared to users opting for other payment methods. EMI on UPI supported higher-value purchases and made it easier for shoppers to upgrade or add more products to their cart.

With KwikEngage, the brand has already automated nearly 90% of Instagram DMs and queries, enabling instant responses and smoother lead conversion from social traffic.
