In content, FanCode offers interactive live streaming in industry-first subscription formats with Match, Bundle and Tour Passes, along with monthly and annual subscriptions at affordable prices. Through FanCode Shop, it also offers fans a wide range of sports merchandise for sporting teams, brands and leagues across the world.

The Problem Statement

FanCode hosts one of the largest sports merchandise in India on its FanCode Shop. Be it cricket, football, basketball, or sports equipment, the collection is exhaustive. With such a huge subscriber base, the digital sports destination processes hundreds of orders everyday. However, even this highly acclaimed brand was facing a high volume of cash-on-delivery-led (COD-led) orders, which were adding to FanCode’s return-to-origins (RTOs).1 This was having a direct impact on the brand’s profits and blocking merchandise in logistics and reverse logistics.

FanCode needed a way to sort this problem and reduce distress.

The GoKwik Solution

  • Interventions included,
    • Applying product-level dynamic COD fee
    • Blocking COD as a payment option for high-risk shoppers
    • Embedding shipping fee on COD-based orders vs free shipping on prepaid orders
    • Using COD confirmation pop-ups to contain impulse buying
    • Offering prepaid payment-based coupons to first-time buyers
    • Restricting COD order placements to INR 1500/-

The Result
